Welcome & Introduction

IPCRG is delighted to be supporting its 6th Scientific Meeting that will take place from 24-25 May in Bucharest, Romania, hosted by RespiRO, our Romanian Member country.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Bucharest and know you will enjoy the excellent learning, networking & social opportunities that this meeting will bring, ensuring your visit to Romania is an memorable one.

Who is the conference for?

Please consider attending if you have:

  • A research idea and methodology that you want to test out with colleagues
  • An implementation science/service development project to report
  • Data on the impact of a clinical study
  • An interest in learning more about what questions remains unanswered in respiratory care
  • An interest in meeting colleagues from other countries to share different ways of working
  • An identified need to learn more about primary care research
  • A colleague or student who would benefit from the meeting


The scope of topics is broad and reflects the prevalence of such conditions in primary care: chronic and infectious respiratory diseases, respiratory symptoms such as cough, wheeze and breathlessness, multi-morbidity including mental health problems, tobacco dependence in low, middle and high income countries.

Registration & Delegate Fees

This is a low cost meeting that aims to ensure cost is not a barrier to attendance. Local fees, and fees for nurses, pharmacists and other AHPs are offered. Please see

Abstract Submission

Abstract submission is online. We have a strong focus this year on methods. Please ensure you include a method both in the abstract and, if successful, in the oral presentation.

Key Deadlines:

  • Abstract submission opens 19 November 2018, UK
  • Deadline for submission: 4 March 2019, UK
  • Notification of Outcome of Submission: 26 - 29 March 2019

 Abstracts that do not use the online form and follow instructions will not be accepted for consideration.
